Research and Training
Current Research Projects:
The MSRRTC is conducting rigorous research, training, technical assistance, and dissemination activities, with a goal of enhancing the functional and employment outcomes of individuals with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). In addition to improving knowledge and outcome measures, our research programs seek to improve medical rehabilitation interventions for MS symptoms, including fatigue, depression, pain, and cognitive limitations.
Training & Development:
The MSRRTC's training activities are designed to increase awareness of the consequences of MS, increase knowledge about effective interventions, and improve the skills of people with MS to deal with life events.
The MSRRTC also conducts resource development programs that make the knowledge acquired through our research programs accessible to people with MS and their families.
Previous Research Projects:
During previous funding cycles, patient surveys, in-depth interviews, and treatment studies provided new and critical information about Multiple Sclerosis, including symptoms such as depression and pain, alcohol/substance abuse, changes in communication, aging, and employment.
